Dyachenko Katerina, received a grant from "People in Need" funded by the European Commission Humanitarian Aid and Civil Protection department (ECHO) has successfully developed its behavior and has become a training for agricultural training.
Dyachenko Katerina lives with her young child in the village of Severnoe (Toretsk). When fighting began in the suburb of Toretsk, Katerina lost her job. When she lived in her parents' home, she helped her parents grow saplings. Now this knowledge has become her only source for keeping the family. With the help of her parents, she planted seedlings of ornamental coniferous plants and flowers. But she did not have enough money to organize effective watering, purchase of fertilizers and high-quality seedlings, which are in good demand on the market. Its activities could stop, but these problems were solved with the help of a grant for development. She received 20 000 UAH grant funded by the European Commission Humanitarian Aid and Civil Protection department (ECHO).
Now Catherine successfully uses her small plot (only 700 square meters) and receives income that meets the needs of her family, and also provides seasonal work for two local residents. In August of this year, Catherine was a coach at one of the trainings on growing seedlings.
